Irina has been petsitting for our three cats for about a year now, and we couldn’t be happier. She takes great care of our cats, including giving medication to our older cat. It is a relief to know that our cats are being well cared for, and she has gone above and beyond to ensure their happiness on several occasions. Irina has a unique combination of love for our pets as well as a firm understanding of pet’s health issues. She’s vigilant and makes us aware of any possible concerns she may have. She knows the vet services in our area and doesn’t hesitate to use them if needed. Importantly, Irina is extremely reliable; she does what she says she will do. My wife and I were nervous about leaving our cats for the first time. After meeting Irina, we felt better about leaving. She obviously has a great love for cats and was very professional in her approach. While we were gone, she texted us every day to let us know our kitties were ok. I have used Pet Angel for the past couple years, since we moved here to Santa Fe. I have always found Irina to be animal focused – every question she asked to was make my pets more comfortable and taken care of just the way I would. She is always prompt, gives me updates when I ask, is very tech savvy which I like so we are in constant communication. The house is just the way I left it when I return and my 3 dogs are just the same. What more could I ask for?
Irina has a big heart when it comes to pets and it shows in her care and attention to detail. It also shows in her pet photography. She took a couple photos of two of my dogs that died this past year. And though I was always snapping a photo it’s the two that Irina took that adorn my fridge that I see each day. For my first time using Pet Angel service I was thoroughly impressed. She responded quickly to my need for service on short notice and is very kind and courteous. Irina has come twice now to feed our family of pets in our absence. We have one cat, two guinea pigs, and four rats. She follows our instructions meticulously, preparing various diets to suit the individual animals, once even sending us a photograph of the rats’ plate of dainties that she had prepared. The cat likes to play with her, which is seldom the case with her and other guests to the house. She takes her job very seriously, and her concern for the animals continues even after she is no longer responsible for them. The last time we came home our plane was delayed, and she contacted my daughter in London to ask whether she should come again while we were stuck in Dallas. She is also flexible about time. Add to that a delight in animals of all kinds and a gift for photography, and she makes a very fine pet sitter. Susan V.
Pet Angel of Santa Fe has provided my dog Loki just what he needs when I’m out of town. I greatly appreciate the Angel’s willingness to watch him if I get in a bind. Just recently the Pet Angel determined Loki needed the vet. Not only did the Angel take Loki to the vet but she stayed with him during the procedure and was then able to provide in home care with medication and bandage patrol. Our Cedar had chronic elder health issues and Irina administered all prescribed medications to her. Unfortunately, last time when she was pet sitting Cedar, our dog was on her very last days. Irina had to deal with this very difficult situation, making end of life decision for our beloved dog. Irina called Cedar’s veterinarian and me. I was scared and I did not know what to do because Cedar was in such bad shape. Irina took care of getting the veterinarian to come to the house to make Cedar’s passage to the other world peaceful and pain free. I was so glad that Irina was by my side because I personally wouldn’t know what to do. Irina took Cedar and me to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter cremation services and talked to the personnel for me. Kate L.I first met Irina of Pet Angel when she was volunteering for Felines & Friends a number of years ago. Pet Angel has been caring for my cats for the past 4 years, whenever I am out of town. It is not an easy task because I foster elderly cats who need sub-q fluids and medications. Irina feeds the cats, cleans the litter box, checks to make sure the house is safe and sound, and she is an expert at administering fluids, pills, and pet first-aid, so I never have to worry that the seniors are being well-cared for. That peace of mind is priceless. The last time she cared for my senior cats, she left a set of pet stairs to help them get up on the bed! Teddy loves his new stairs! She is also a fabulous photographer of animals — her beautiful photos have helped several of my fosters find their forever homes, and her photos are always featured in the annual Santa Fe Humane Society pet calendar.
